As a mother and a teacher with over 25 years of experience, I’ve lived through the very challenge that many parents face every day at home: how do you keep your kids engaged, learning, and happy without being glued to screens and without adding to the exhaustion you feel at the end of the day?

I remember those long summer afternoons vividly. After a full day of work, whether it was in the classroom or juggling household tasks, I would be so tired. Mentally and physically drained. Yet, there was still the task of keeping my own child entertained and mentally stimulated. And in the summertime, I wanted them to have fun, but I also worried about the dreaded “summer slide”, the learning loss that happens when kids aren’t engaged in anything educational during those long months away from school.

But here’s the honest truth: by the time evening rolled around, I wasn’t the fun, patient parent I wanted to be. I just wanted a moment to breathe, a little peace. And I was desperate for activities that would spark my child’s curiosity, keep his mind active, and most importantly, keep him off screens.

I tried everything: worksheets, random crafts, playdates, trips to the library, etc. Sometimes they worked. Sometimes it felt like more work for me than for him. I wanted something better. Something thoughtfully designed, easy to use, and actually fun for kids so that they wanted to learn, and I could finally catch a break.

That’s why I created GLES Kids!

GLES Kids is the product of my two worlds, my experience as a dedicated educator and my journey as a busy, tired parent who just wants the best for her child. Each product is carefully curated to provide a perfect balance of literacy, numeracy, logical thinking, and fun activities that are not only educational but also hands-on, engaging, and screen-free.

With GLES Kids, I wanted to deliver peace of mind to parents, knowing that their kids are occupied with meaningful learning while they get the chance to relax, recharge, and enjoy their time too. I wanted children to experience that joy of discovery, to feel proud when they solve a puzzle or master a new skill, and to associate learning with fun, not a chore (for child and parent :).
